The Story of us began over 11 years ago we first met thru a mutual friend . love at first sight it was not ..LOL!! actually he got on my nerves. The first time we met he slapped me on my backside lol. Yes a lil flirt he was.. But as we continued to hang out we got closer he made me laugh, he was fun to hang out with. I'll never forget the time he took my friend and I to a Bar where it was karaoke night . There he sang along with his friend Latif (It takes two to make a thing go right) by Rob Base and boy did they have the crowd going we laughed so hard!!! at the end of his song he yelled "I want to give a shout out to the snow bunnies in the back" lol! everyone turned around to look at us (which by the way we were the only white girls in the bar) what a night! Soon enough we were together every weekend just hanging out with friends. before I knew it he was asking me out on a date. He took me to a play at the Merriam Theater downtown the play was called (My woman my wife) and yes I still have the ticket stub. who would have thought this man i couldn't stand would steal my heart. He was tall dark and handsome not to metion smart, well dressed and so funny. We started dating January 29, 2000. A few months later we moved in our first apartment at 241 Long Lane Upper Darby Pa . It was the cutest apartment where we spent our first holidays our first Christmas first New Years Etc. made real dinners, that's when I found out Darrell was a good cook. We lived there about a year and a half. . We learned alot about each other in that time . I think we moved to fast to soon in our relationship. We worked together lived together hung out together . We ended up spliting ways and moving back with our parents after almost 2 years of dating. But that didn't last long 2 weeks went by and he couldn't live without me (lOl) yes it was all him......o.k i missed him too!! Things worked themselves out and within the next year I was pregnant with our handsome prince Sean Anthony Washington . Darrell was in school at the time for Dental Assistant and worked in a dental office downtown . I still worked at the prison in Delaware County but later transfered to the Federal Prison downtown Phila. where i'm still employed. Sean was 2yrs. old when we bought our first house very exciting time!!! It was alot of fun building the house into our home . We had it fully remodeled . Darrell even built the privacy fence outback all by himself,he bought a Do -It yourself fence book and went to work, well he had a little help. We have been there 5 years now and i'm not going to lie and tell you that are relationship has been perfect we've been thru just about everything . But if I had to I would do it all again. I think it has taken this long for us to realize that we complete one another. The good times kept us together and the bad times they didn't break us ..only made us stronger ! 11 years we have spent together have only proved but one thing "We loved each other then We love each other now and we will love each other always & forever." with that said JAMAICA here we come !!! June 18th 2011 is the special day when we say I Do. hope to see you there!! |
