Bride

Monday, July 18, 2016 was the big day! I finished work at my normal time and I called Mike on my ride home.  He said "Babe lets go out for dinner tonight. Let's switch up it." Anyone that knows Mike is aware that he LOVES to cook so we do most of our dinning in the comfort of our home. I said "Ok let's do it!" I arrived home and proceeded to get ready. He said "Ok we have to leave the house no later than 6:30pm because I made our dinner reservation for 7pm." I thought to myself, dinner reservation??? I then began to scramble in my closet to find something nice to wear. For whatever reason I had a strange feeling that tonight was going to be a night to remember. We left our home and arrived in downtown Phoenix, Arizona at the Hyatt Regency.  Of course I'm very inquisitive so I questioned him and asked "I thought we were going to dinner, what's at the Hyatt?" He said "We are going to dinner, the restaurant is on the rooftop on the 24th floor." I didn't think anything of it and continued to the restaurant. We were seated immediately. I perused the room and couldn't help but appreciate the exquisite ambience and not to mention the resturant revolved as we sat at our dinner table onlooking the city of Phoenix.  The view was breathtaking. We began to converse and enjoyed our delicious meal.

As the conversation went on, Mike began to act strange. He went down memory lane and went on and on about how much he loved and appreciated me. He seemed very nervous. I said "What's wrong with you? Why are you acting so nervous? Is everything ok?" He said "Yes, I just love you so much and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together." The next thing you know our server approached the table with a piece of strawberry cheesecake lit with a candle. The plate read "Will you marry me?" Tears immediately began to stream down my face as I covered my mouth with my hands in amazement. Mike got down on one knee and expressed a tearful and emotional propsal. It was the sweetest thing ever because he never cries! It was on this day that our lives changed forever!
