Jim and I originally went to Joshua Tree Elementary School at the same time, many years ago. We later shared our latter years of High School as Trojans at Yucca Valley High School. Although, we vaguely remember eachother except in passing between classes or sporting events, we later realized we have many mutual friends from both elementary school and high school. It wasn't until many years later that Jim and I "noticed" one another. Jim, home after a long day at work and bored, ventured onto Facebook (unfamiliar territory for him). After browsing his list of contacts decided to message me. I still have no idea why he chose to contact me, but let me shout it from the mountain top how thankful I am! We had dinner a few times, here and there, nothing serious. We would go weeks without taking to one another, both being single parents our priorities were simply on our children. i don't think either of us had any intention of setteling down again. A few BBQ's at his house and his wonderful daughter Jordyn soon became my side kick! My children, much older and stand-offish were not so easily charmed. However, within just a few BBQ's as well they were beginning to understand my attraction to JIm and Jordyn, and quickly followed suit. Before we realized it, our families had simply meshed together along with our lives! That was over a year ago now and as Jim says the rest is history! |
As with the wedding, we have yet to come up with a detailed report for everyone at the moment. We do currently intend to have the reception on August 18th, 2012. We also agree it will be local for our guests convenience. We also agree, we would both like a small private wedding and a HUGE reception afterwards! We would much rather utillize our assets celebrating with our friends than a pricey "Bridezilla" wedding!
We look forward to updating you on the progress! |
