John and Jen's paths finally crossed in Afghanistan 4 1/2 years ago on one of their many deployments. As luck would have it they worked in buildings co-located near one another and once their blues eyes met they were inseperable... or something like that =). Once they both returned home they decided to pursue a relationship and see how things would go back in the "real world". Thus, the next couple of years were spent on trips between Washington and Colorado. Of course, John had a couple more deployments during that time and it was more school for Jen. As the relationship progressed and began to get a bit more serious Jen moved up to Washington. She had just enough time to get settled in before John received orders to a base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Being that there were no mountains in Florida Jen wasn't so excited about this deal, but they both decided to embrace the new adventure and see what life would bring.   

Luckily things have worked out well, as they bought a house together last year and are embracing life on the water.  Three months ago they finally decided to take a big step and got engaged- yep they don't usually do things in order!!  So the planning for a destination wedding in Jamaica, has finally begun!
