Currency - The US dollar is the official currency of Turks and Caicos.  There are exchange bureaus at Beaches.  Most hotels, restaurants and taxi services accept traveler’s cheques, which can be cashed at local banks.  Most credit cards are accepted and banks offer ATM's as well as cash advances on credit cards.

Tipping - Tips and gratuities at Beaches are strictly prohibited for all staff except personal butlers and spa therapists.  If you wish to tip your butler or Spa therapist, it would be greatly appreciated but under no circumstance would it be required or solicited.  When outside the resort, there are no rules about tipping; however, 15% is normally paid to waiters, taxi drivers, maids and porters.

Time Zone - Eastern Standard Time and Daylight Savings Time is observed from April to October.

Electricity - 110 volt/60 cycle, suitable for Canadian and U.S. appliances.  Hair Dryers are provided in all rooms.

Entry Requirements: Passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months.  Visitors from Canada may enter without a passport, if they have an original birth certificate (or, a notarized copy) and a photo id (e.g.. Climate: From November to May the average temperature is 80 to 84 degrees (27-29 degrees celsius).  A constant trade wind keeps the climate at a very comfortable level.  The Turks and Caicos has 350 days of sunshine in an average year.
