Having known each other in our teens (Gus lived around the corner from my grandmother), we used to flirt when we saw each other. In our early twenties we started getting closer and eventually started dating; although, we went our separate ways, Gus and I remained good friends. We would talk and hang out with each other from time to time. One day Gus asked if I wanted to go to a comedy show. We laughed and had a great time that evening. From that day on sparked the beginning of something special. Who would have known after going our separate ways in our twenties, Gus and I rekindled our relationship sixteen years later and here we are now engaged to be married!
