My Version of Our Story :-O

It began when I saw this brother's pictures on the social media. His eyes are what caught my attention and I then began my very creative search (who is the guy 😍?). Whatever event was happening in Brooklyn I'd find myself standing in front of him (he was tall like a tree gee whiz) and he would never look directly at me and it seemed like he didn't even notice me (maybe I was too short) but then one day ... I noticed him watching me (FINALLY) 😋.

I did a little more reaearch and found out he is a creative writer (and yes I read many of his blogs) got his number "to chit chat about business".  I kept the conversation brief nothing deep or scary or aggressive (trying to find out if he was single) again he didn't really seem interested. But then vague references to our brief encounters were little mentions on the social media (yes I paid close attention to every single post LOL)

When you are getting to know someone you have to pay attention to how they act and respond to your silliness. He would respond with enthusiasm and break out in crazy sweats (for example, fixing the weight bench which I needed immediately and honestly only used once in eight monrhs)  mind you I am very handy around my apartment and then we'd speak on the phone for hours and I became so drawn and terrified at the same time. I dragged out the inevitable, eventually swallowing my fears of being vulnerable and taking a risk.  This was the man I'd want to kiss forever and a day. I get goosebumps whenever he touches me understand that I would be with him if he never asked me to marry him. He was the man who makes my head light when he hugs me and holds me tight and kisses me on the forehead.

On Valentine's day I was coming home after taking care of business. I was a little pissed because he wouldn't drop me off to the airport or pick me up and told me to park my car at the airport lot.  The childish part of me wanted to fall out but he didn't deserve any temper tantrums.

Well I came home that Sunday and he was just getting home and he had flowers  (which I love love love) and as I was settling in and getting in ready to follow him to the back. He screamed out just wait and so I sat on the couch. He handed me my flowers. I handed him a Valentines day card and this gift he said he wanted. He began to talk about how it's been since we've met and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. ME!!  I said NO NO NO as he pulled out a box and took out a ring, slid it on my finger and asked me to marry him and began to just kiss him.

I never want to stop kissing this man and I said YES.

We both have created interesting life references, but today we get to create memories together WITH the loving support of our families. ♡

I can't wait to spend the rest of our days together as Mr. and Mrs. Eric P. Owens
