Bride

We both prayed for a lifelong parter our entire lives.

One Sunday afternoon, we decided to have dinner at Crescent City Seafood in Arlington, Texas. Tim ordered fish and chips, while I ordered shrimp and crab boil with potatoes and corn.

As we enjoyed our dinner, we talked about how much we loved each other. I explained to Tim how much I loved his kind heart, words of wisdom, and warm embrace. He responded by saying how much he loved my beautiful smile, my warm spirit, and my intelligent mind.

As he filled my ears with complements, he subtly bent down on one knee and said this is why I want to spend the rest of my life with you forever. I responded by saying "I can't wait to marry you." As two waitresses approach us with the engagement ring in hand, he asked "Will you marry me?"

All I could do was cry tears of joy. He responded by questioning whether that meant 'yes.' He opened his arms to me as I stood to give him a hug, but continued to cry tears of joy. Finally, saying "Yes," I looked over and saw the waitresses holding my engagement ring, then cried louder and harder, then fell back into Tim's arms.

It was the softest, yet most firm hug I ever received in my life.

Prayers do come true.
