It was the summer of 2017 and while Maclane and Hayleigh were working at their local summer camp they first met. Even though they had grown up in the same small town, being two school years apart meant that they had never crossed paths before this moment. 

Maclane and Hayleigh will tell anyone, that when they met, they felt like they were meant to be together. There was a schedule for the summer posted in the back room of their work, and both Maclane and Hayleigh went separately to the area to see when they would be grouped together for the week. 

One of the first interactions that they had was Maclane asking Hayleigh, "I saw a really weirdly spelled name on the schedule, is that yours?". When Hayleigh replied yes, Maclane then told her that he liked it and that he had a weird name too. They spent the summer stealing smiles from across the field and being distracted while they worked. A few detours later and then they were inseparable. 

They moved into their apartment in 2020 together, where they are still living. Their only complaint about their living situation is that they are outgrowing the space. They have enjoyed supporting each other through their higher education journey and are excited to see both of their careers flourish in the coming years. 

On October 14th, 2023, Maclane popped the question in the most thoughtful way. With the help of his parents and a close friend, he had a beautiful isle set up in the Barrington Recreation Gym, where they had first met each other. His plan was set up and perfectly executed. When Hayleigh said she would marry him, they quietly held each other, and let the world slow down around them. They enjoyed their favorite blue champagne from Italy and celebrated with their closest friends for the rest of the day. 

They cannot wait to experience their dream wedding in one of the world's most beautiful places. One of their favorite things to do together is travel and go on adventures. They are beyond excited to partake in the adventure of a lifetime with their family.
