Our Story

In September 2020, April was walking into FedEx to ship something for work and she saw the most incredibly handsome man working behind the counter.  He was tall, dark and handsome.  Although he was wearing a mask, there was something magical about his eyes. His eyes expressed that he had the most gentle spirit and such a humble and calming demeanor.   After exchanging numbers, the love story began.

Within 2 weeks, Darryl called April on his way to work and they spoke for 3 hours without even realizing it.  Darryl was an open book.  Although neither was looking for love, God knew they were looking for each other. 

Darryl provided April the one thing she always wanted - a family.  Darryl brought the most gentle love, caring spirit and the best gift of all - his son, Dallas.  

April provided Darryl the one thing he always wanted - family.  April brought the unconditional love of a woman who was strong, nurturing to Dallas and allowed him to be himself.

On New Year's Day 2023, Darryl surprised April with photos of her "mom" (her grandmother) and her brother, Shawn, as a gift to have at the house.  Little did she know that through the tears of the photos, Darryl was on his knee with red roses and a gorgeous ring asking her to be his wife.  Through excitement and tears and in front of both of their families, she said "YES!!!".

A year and a half later, they are ready to tie the knot.  Their love for each other blossomed into something that only God put together and knew they both needed and wanted.  From the blending of both families to now....a union designed by God and destined for greatness!

The future Mifflins are so excited for their day and can't wait to celebrate with their families and friends!!!
