It was the year 2013 when our paths first crossed, and little did we know that this chance meeting would be the start of a beautiful journey. I had just become a part of Jamari's life as his teacher. Marvin couldn't help but notice the impact I had on his son and the entire school community.

As 2014 dawned, we began to spend more time together, bonding over our shared love for our children, our community, and our passion for life. It wasn't long before we realized that our connection was something special – a connection that went beyond friendship  As we explored the possibility of a romance, we both found ourselves falling deeply in love with each other.

By 2015, we made the decision to commit to each other exclusively, and our relationship blossomed into something beautiful. We began to blend our families together, creating a loving and nurturing environment for our children – Nyomi, Jamari, Jada, and the youngest addition to our family, Amir, who was born in 2017.

As our love continued to grow, so did our family. We learned to navigate the challenges that came with merging two families, but through it all, our love and dedication to each other and our children remained unwavering. We celebrated our children's achievements, supported each other through life's ups and downs, and created unforgettable memories together.

In 2023, we got engaged, marking the beginning of a new chapter in our lives—one filled with promise, love, and anticipation.

Fast-forward to today, and we stand here, about to embark on the most significant journey of our lives – our wedding day. We are surrounded by the people we love, the children we've raised together, and the memories that have shaped us into the strong, loving family we are today. As we exchange our vows and commit to each other for a lifetime, we know that our love will continue to be the foundation on which we build our lives.
