Our story started back in 2021 when Allye was working in the Neuro ICU, and the lead nurse found out that "Dr. Platko" was single. As part of her desire to always steer Allye in the right direction, even beyond work, she encouraged a date between us. While the first few dates happened in secret, those on the unit were continuing to encourage this relationship. Steve, in his characteristic humor, made a point at work to visit Allye conspicuously throughout the day and bring a little fun to the unit, often prompting less-than-subtle smirks and laughs from the other nurses when he showed up. After a few more dates, the connection from the beginning was very apparent. Not long afterward, they found each other spending most evenings together and getting to know each other's friends and family.

Since then, the adventures and love have continued to grow (even to the point that Allye moved to a colder city for Steve)! We have had many adventures, including vacations (including one where Allye broke the rental car) and a move from Dayton to Cleveland less than two weeks after adopting our Bernedoodle daughter, Piper! We now prepare to begin the best and most exciting adventure yet, kicking it off with this tropical celebration!
