It was one fun night in downtown Richmond, VA where Brittney was at a local club with a couple of girlfriends when she spotted Jason across the dance floor looking at her. After a few flirty gazes, Jason finally approached Brittney and asked for a dance. She said yes, and they danced until Brittney was whisked away by her friends to another club, but not before Jason got her number.

A couple of nights later Jason called Brittney and from the first time they talked they realized how many interests they shared together. Not only a love for cooking, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends, but also watching movies, exploring the great outdoors, and playing games, especially spades #IYKYK.

Since then, the two shared many adventures together and even managed to graduate from their respective colleges. Four years into their relationship these two-love fish moved in together sharing a home with their daughter Ariyana, and later welcomed their son Jayson in 2020, now becoming a family of four.

On the day before their annual anniversary trip to Jamaica, Jason surprised Brittney along with some family and friends in the beautiful Japanese garden at Maymont Park. He got down on one knee and asked her if she would marry him. She excitedly said, "Yes" and hugged and kissed him with their two kids by their sides.

Eight years later, they’re finally ready to tie the knot! The future Mr. and Mrs. Simmons are so excited for their special day and can’t wait to celebrate with family and friends.
