On July 30, 2022, Matt surprised Fyonna with a romantic picnic along the shore of Lake Michigan in Chicago. It started as a relaxing stroll along the lake when Fyonna started to see a beautiful and extravagant picnic setup and she realized the words "Marry Me" were spelled out in front of her. At that point, Matt got on one knee and asked her to marry him. After tears and hugs were exchanged, they spent the afternoon at the lake celebrating over mocktails, hors d'oevres and painting on canvases.
