Our Story

In October 2018, Nicole moved into a new condo in Clearwater, Florida with her best friend, Allie. There was often a very competitive pool volleyball game underway every weekend in the community. It was Nicole and Allie’s first time at the pool and they were enjoying the game and watching the boys.  They were invited to join the chaos by a very tanned man covered in white sunscreen, who called himself Eric. During the game Eric and Nicole got to know each other where Eric made his intentions very clear, but Nicole wasn’t convinced.  After a few weeks, Nicole came around and responded to Eric’s text.  They spent the weekend together on the boat and that was just the beginning of this story.     

Early the next year, the two moved in together and even adopted a kitten named Pickles. Since then, they’ve been traveling the world and building their careers together. You can often find the pair on the boat, on the beach or in the water.

Fast forward almost 5 years later, on August 12th, they were boating with close friends when Eric jumped in the water.  As he climbed the ladder at the back of the boat, he yelled “baby, look what I found!”  Nicole headed to the back of the boat and found Eric on one knee with a ring in his hand.  

Now, they’re ready to tie the knot! The future Mirets are so excited for their special day and can’t wait to celebrate with family and friends in Paradise.
