Can we stay somewhere other than Beaches Ocho Rios?

 

The short answer, yes. They do have a few rules about this.

* 80%/20% rule. 80% of the guests have to stay at the resort for you (the guest) to be able to attend the wedding. Please get with me if you are thinking of booking your room at another resort.

* There is a $150.00 fee per person if you will be staying at another resort, to attend the wedding. There is also a $150.00 fee per person to attend the Welcome Party, the night before the wedding. These event passes must be purchased ahead of time through our booking agent.

* We are staying at their Beaches location which is a family resort. They also have a Sandals location that is adults only. You may stay at Sandals Ochi(they have much better rates than Beaches) and it will NOT go against the 80/20 rule. You will NOT have to pay the $150.00 to attend the wedding or welcome party You will just need to provide your own transportation over to Beaches Ocho Rios, which is about a 15 minute drive. 

 

 

What all do I need to pay for once I am there?

 

* Unless you are doing any excursions or personal shopping, not a darn thing! The resort is all inclusive. All food and drink; alcoholic or non alcoholic are provided.

* We also got a tip that if you bring your own mug (like a Stanley or Yeti) they will fill them up for you so your drink stays full and cold! Want a margarita? How about a 30oz margarita? Yes, please!
