FAQs
Is there a dress code for the wedding ceremony?
Yes, semi-formal/cocktail beach attire. A dress, suit, formal romper, or jumpsuit all work. Feel free to include soft tropical prints. If you choose to wear a beachy dress, please consider a tea length (ankle length) dress or maxi dress. As for shoes, dressy sandals, chunky heels, and wedges are all acceptable footwear options. If you choose to wear a suit or long-sleeved shirt and slacks, consider breathable fabrics like linen, khaki, and seersucker. A nice pair of closed toe shoes like loafers or deck shoes (boat shoes) are acceptable. Shorts, bathing suits, and flip flops are not permitted.

~Athletic shoes for hiking and other excursions or the gym (don’t forget socks!)

What is the difference between Beaches and Sandals?
The Beaches resort is where the wedding ceremony will take place and is also family friendly. The Sandals resort is 16 minutes away and is an adults only resort. You will have full access to the wedding if you stay at Sandals, but will need to pay your own taxi which can be set up at the resort's front desk.
What if I stay at a different resort?
You are more than welcome to stay at another resort in Ocho Rios other than Beaches and Sandals. If you choose to do this you will need to purchase a wedding guest pass to attend the wedding and will also be responsible for your own transportation.
How much does a wedding guest pass cost?
Day and Evening Wedding Guest Passes are issued for five hours and is dependent on wedding start times. Any additional travel tips?
I recommend calling the resort to hold your room as soon as you can. You will need to pay the initial deposit, but the remaning deposit will not be due for another three weeks and will be counted towards your final bill. Then look to book your flights anytime between now and 75 days before travel. The cheapest time to book during the week is on Tuesday. The final bill is due 60 days before travel, so save any other items to purchase for the trip until after that if you can. This is a big expense, but do keep in mind once you arrive that everything will have already been paid for and included in your stay.
