On June 10th, 2013(My(Sara) Dad's birthday)...we got engaged! Casey fooled me into thinking we were going to a business dinner. He told me it was at 6:30pm at a restaurant here in Lake City. As we headed downtown to "the restaurant", we were a little early for "dinner". So, as we started to drive around to kill 15 minutes, we discussed how pretty the water and boats at the marina looked that day. The sun was shining and the water was glistening! Casey pulled into a parking spot at a viewing area(to view Lake Pepin and the boats, etc.). Then he said to me, "we're not going to dinner with ****". Confused, I replied, "we're not?". He simply said, "no." and reached into his shirt pocket. Then, he held out to me my amazingly gorgeous ring!! After that its sort of a blur! He may have asked me to marry him......again, it's a blur.....but I said nothing because I was kind of in shock! He asked, "well, will you?". And I said, "yessss!! Of course!! I love you!!". Then I cried.....a lot.....like buckets full! He ALMOST cried because of my reaction :). We were both mushy and love dovey and emotional ......and soooo happy! We then made a bunch of phone calls on our way to The Harbor View Cafe in Pepin, WI to celebrate. We are very in love and super excited to start this new chapter in our life together.

It has always been a dream of mine to have a beach wedding; and Casey loves any body of water, it's calming to him. So, we decided to skip the traditional route and do what makes us happy! We have chosen to have a WeddingMoon at the Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort on December 7th, 2013. What better way to start our married life together than on vacation!?! We are hoping that all our family and friends understand, and are excited for us. We would LOVE to have each and every one of you there, though we completely understand that for many, it will just not be possible. For those people, we hope to keep you as much a part of everything as we can, through our blog snd pictures on this website. We do, however, hope that some will feel welcome to join us at this amazing resort for our tropical wedding! Come and celebrate our special day with us, and take some time for yourself to enjoy all that this destination has to offer. 12 miles of beach, all inclusive food and beverages(alcohol too!), pools, waterpark, water activities, 16 restaurants(again, remember, all included), bars and entertainment, etc!!! Sounds heavenly, don't you think?!? =)
We will be sending out very few announcements/invites. Sorry, we know its cheating the stresses of a wedding! ;) They will be mostly for those who do not use the Internet or are not comfortable using it. We are all around going for a less traditional and more modern route(and frankly, waaaaay easier!) with this website link being spread by email and through Facebook :) Consider yourself formally invited!

The resort provides us with a unique gifting experience. Through our registry on this site, friends and family can buy us "experiences" we'll have during our trip, pay for portions of our wedding or our stay, or make a donation to charity among other things. We've selected tons of stuff to give a variety of options.
