Time has FLOWN by! I should have been more diligent with this blog, but our busy life got in the way. So, let me catch you up on wedding stuff! We had all our legal documents in on time....go us!

At the end of September I had a wedding dress appointment. My Mom, Casey's Mom, my Grandma Shirlee's best friend Joanie, my best friend Amy, and my sister(via FaceTime) all attended. I had tried on maybe five dresses, when we all agreed on one......and I knew that was THE one! What a relief that was.

By the fourth of October we were supposed to have the wedding all paid for....and we did; but shortly after we decided to add some things, so as of tomorrow we will actually be all paid up. That will feel amazing.

We have just about everything we need for the wedding and vacation in general, except Casey's suit. Cutting it kind of close on that! It is a bit of a problem to find a summer colored suit up here this time of year. We ordered one. Now we're praying it fits!

My wonderful sister threw us the nicest surprise wedding shower ever. We had NO clue. Our sneaky friends and family put this whole party on without one person slipping up. We're so thankful for them all. The best part was that my sister came, with our three month old niece, clear across the country to be there. So awesome

We also received our first gift through our online "Beaches" registry. We're very thankful for that as well :). I think it's the coolest thing that they have this kind of registry. We'll definitely be using some of our gift money to take some tours or something!

Okay, I think that's about it! Less that a month away......I can't believe it!!

On Tuesday, September 3rd, I had my first consultation with our wedding planner! We discussed many things....the decor, music, dinner plans, etc. She also filled me in on the many things included for free with our wedding. Two of which are a special honeymoon dinner with wine and white glove service, and a decorated honeymoon room <3 She asked me all about us....how we met, how long we have been together, how he proposed, and more. She then led me down a list of wedding things we will do as soon as we arrive on the island. Probably the best of which will be cake tasting! :). I have another consultation with her on September 24th to finalize as much as we can. I CANNOT believe how close it's getting! I'm posting with this blog one of our wedding selections. We are going very tropical!! <3

In a little over a week we'll only big THREE months away from our big day!! Time is just flying by! We recieved our passports in the mail yesterday, and have almost all our required wedding documents taken care of......just one document to go! I can't get that one until we're within 90 days of the wedding, but that's coming up fast :). It'll be such a relief when we have everything sent off to the place that handles all Of the documentation. Very soon we'll be able to concentrate on the fun stuff......like a dress and suit! Next week I finally have my consultation with our wedding planner.....I'll update everyone on what comes of that. Ahhhhh we're so excited!! <3

Yesterday I helped book our first guests!! My Mom and Casey's Mom are the first two set to join us in paradise :). We are EXTREMELY happy that we'll have them with us on our special day.

Everyday we get a little more excited! Last night I watched a few videos about the resort. I saw a few weddings, a couple of the accommodations, and lots of the resort grounds. The weddings got me all teary eyed

We've had quite a few people interested in joining us for the wedding. It's expensive, so we completely understand anyone's hesitation. What I have been telling everyone is this.......go for three nights, Friday, December 6th - Monday, December 9th. There's a flight from MSP that leaves at 6:45am, arriving in the islands at 2:20pm. This way you have a lot of Friday left to enjoy. Monday there's a flight that leaves at 3:30pm, arriving at MSP at 11:50pm. That gives you a large chunk of Monday to enjoy as well. It's almost three full days and three nights. However, like I said, I've been telling everyone this and that plane will only have so many seats available! Sharing a room saves a lot of money. Having four in a room brings the total cost per person down about $600-$700(compared to one in a room). Figure in what you would pay for food, alcohol, activities, airport transfers, tips, etc, if you were going elsewhere for vacation. At Beaches Resort it's all included. Plus, it may be a once in a lifetime trip to one of the most beautiful places in the world(from what I hear). So think hard about it and weigh your options :). If you'd like, I can come up with a helpful list to justify the cost(In your head at least). I'm good at that ;)

Again, I just want everyone to know much we love and appreciate you all! Thank you for supporting our decision to do this so far away, whether or not you're able to attend. It means the world to us.

Wow! Even a destination wedding takes quite a bit of planning. As each piece of the puzzle is finished, we feel a little less stress......and it's only just begun! We are now booked for our WeddingMoon. We leave Dec. 4th, 2013, and will return....a MARRIED COUPLE!!!.....on Dec. 11th. The actual wedding will be on December 7th at 2:00pm. We do not have an appointment(conference call) with the wedding coordinator until September 3rd. We will then discuss all of our wedding options.

Next on our list of things to do is get our passports. Then we have a list of documents to have copied and notarized.

Little by little....we will get it all done!

We are SOOOOOO EXCITED!!

Thanks for being a part of it all :)
