In October of 2013, we had decided that we were going to plan a special day for each other without the other person knowing anything about the day. We both planned events that we would typically not do to make it extra special for one another. (Note- that this was very hard since Jessica is a planner, wants to know everything and cannot keep a secret or suprise from somone for the life of her!)

For Beau's day, Jessica had planned a couples massage (his first massage), lunch in Jacksonville at a restuarant that he enjoys, a corn maze/fall festival and ended the evening with a few games at Dave & Busters.

For Jessica's day, November 1st, Beau had much more in store that Jessica thought and full of personal inside jokes. The day began with heart shaped pancakes and mimosas. (The pancakes were something that Jessica has been hinting at and wanting for months, so that day was the perfect day for those). After breafkast, we got ready and packed a picnic lunch and games, including the game of Life! We enjoyed our wine, lunch, game of Life and writing creative poems for each other. (Beau was having a very artistic moment when he came up with the poem idea. Had to have 6-12 lines, a word that began with a "z", an animal and a body part). The night ended with a horse-drawn carriage ride through downtown St. Augustine and a perfect proposal in front of the "Love Tree." Jessica said "YES" of course, but not until she asked two important questions..."Did you ask my dad?" & "Is this for real?"
