I had just moved back home from Texas. I was happy to be back home and I was looking forward to building a new chapter in my life. I had come in for a 7am shift to start my job transfer, and I was scheduled to help with stock that day. I went downstairs and was introduced to Adam.  He greeted me with a warm handshake and a friendly hello. He seemed a little shy, but once we began sorting through shipment conversation was easy. I pretty much assumed that he must not be single, so I kind of chalked it up to at least gaining a friend. However I could hold back my feelings long.

I would find excuses to enagage in converstion with him, and every time I talked to him, the more I couldn't get enough of him. He would always go out for coffee and ask me what I wanted. He is always thoughtful like that. When I would bump into him I would probe a little more about him, until I could find a way to invite him out. We ended up meeting down the street for drinks a month later and ended up closing the place. It wasn't long before we started dating, and after about a month we moved in together. After about a year we were able to get our own place and shortly after got our gorgeous little kitten! Living together we have learned a lot about each other, and I am confident we can work through our stresses as a team. He's my best friend.
