The bouquet was ready this week too!

From the 1st time I saw this bouquet, I felt it was perfect and had to have it. I ordered it from a seller on Etsy, and she was able to recreate the bouquet as requested. So happy!

Dropped the dress off at the alterations place got the wedding fever going. It's less than 2 months until we renew our vows!

(November 13, 2014)

Finally picked up the dress, and it fits perfectly!

We finally got our little guy his outfit for the wedding. The color is gorgeous, made of pina silk fabric... My guys are going to make a handsome pair.

He was not very excited about trying it on though...

Finally got a chance to talk to Roxi, our wedding coordinator this morning. The wedding itself is straightforward enough, likely just 20 minutes in its entirety. We basically just went over the little details...

I finally got myself around to calling the wedding concierge and booking our date/time for the ceremony. Woohoo!

Our Renewal of Vows is officially happening on December 8, 2014 at 4PM. It is exactly the same as our wedding 10 years ago.

Some themes I want to maintain-- the garden/ocean setting, the fuschia/magenta/pink palettes, the balloons at thereception. What is new-- new attire silhouttes, pictures at the beach...

We said we'd try and include a lot of elements from our first wedding to the renewal of vows, right?

Well, this might be one thing we can scratch off the list :) Somehow, in the past 10 years, my rib cage expanded (as well as my pelvis!). That's what I'm telling myself!

Besides, I want to try a different silhouette-- specifically a form fitting drop waist/mermaid dress that allows me to channel my inner Sofia Vergara

I started working on this project in October 2013, back when we thought we'd hold our wedding here at home. We were going to give these out as our wedding souvenirs (cool huh?)

We ended up with a lot of lemons to juice...

And we've got a huge surplus of appertifs in our pantry that will likely last us a while :)

We were watching our wedding video a couple months ago, after we unearthed it from a box that has been sitting in the garage since we moved out of our place in Modesto. That's 4 years in the heat, cold, damp, dust...

It actually held up pretty good. The video took us back-- way back. Joshua even watched the video with Joshua. Messing with his head, I asked him:

Where's mommy?

Where's daddy?

Where's Joshua?

Jeff asked "How about we renew our wedding vows on our 10th anniversary?" That way, Joshua can be in the pictures? I gave him an incredelous look and asked

"Are you serious?! Because you know I will take that idea and run with it, right?"

We started out with a plan to have a small celebration here at home in July. But as I started going through my list of suppliers, it quickly became overwhelming to try and do all this DIY, and too expensive to not. I was certain I wanted something small, something very personal. I also wanted to take key elements of our 1st wedding to echo an "Old and New" feel, but also style it differently to make it familiar but distinct.

I even toyed with the idea of other venues, including having a boat party...

I wanted a proper honeymoon. I told Jeff this one was going to be over the top, better than the weekend trip to Davao or the overnight camping trip to Lake Camanche. Planning a honeymoon is a lot more fun than planning a wedding... I was looking at destinations in the Carribean, and ads for places like Sandals and Beaches kept popping up. The term "wedding-moon" was interesting, and the more I looked, the more it made sense. Over Thansgiving we finally decided to finalize our reservations, and so here we are.
