| Memory tells me I have always been a daydreamer. I've always had the loftiest ideals and the most outrageous ambitions. As far as I can remember, I had wanted to become an astronaut, make a map of the galaxy, scale the Andes, explore the ocean floor, and trek through the Amazon. But my most secret longing was to be treasured as the best possible wife to an equally amazing man. Because I never thought it could ever be possible to be as perfect... but now I have found that it's not about who you are and what you can achieve on your own. You can never be perfect by yourself. Ultimately, it is about who you are when you finally find this other half of your soul, and together you make each other perfect. And great dreams do not seem to be such a daunting task at all...
It's been 10 years and while the goals and work may have changed, the dreams have the same themes-- adventure, excitement, innovation, and also tenderness, grace, compassion, love. I can say for myself that while life is never perfect, I have everything I could possibly need to make me happy. And if life stayed this way, if this was the best that it gets, I'd be perfectly happy. Because it is the best that I could have ever hoped for and more.
